I really haven't packed much since we don't have much room to store boxes. Once we get our storage unit in Chickasha then we can do more packing wise. Plus I have had a set back in my recovery. I have to have 2 polyps removed yesterday and I'm in a lot of pain. They did the same thing 2 weeks ago, I will go back in to have it done again in 2 weeks. I hope this stops soon. So I'm stuck on the couch for a few days to heal. Brad is now home and is done with his military training. He's a big help to me and I'm glad he is home. We are still waiting on word of his deployment.

We have set our move date back a bit. We will move the 23rd of August.
We are hoping to have enough money to make it to Josh's basic training graduation in South Carolina. We've been kinda busy here getting ready for the move next month. We will still be living in Oklahoma when we move in with my mom, and I will be living in the same town as my friend Nancze also :o)

Josh called yesterday afternoon! He sounded so much better and is doing good. He finally got our letters and photos I sent. It's taking about a week to get mail back and forth. He will graduate 08/08/08. Brad is almost through with AIT and will graduate July 9th. He will most likely be deployed the end of August.

Not much else going on here. Just trying to get stuff done without hurting myself. I went to the doc Monday the 16th and she has me off my feet another 2 weeks. She had to re-do some stitches again. I'm hoping that was the last time! I am able to get some things done with packing though. I have Chad doing stuff in the evenings when he comes home from work. And I have him bring drawers and items downstairs for me to clean out, sort through, and pack. It's getting done, just not at the pace or how I want to do it. I can pack a house in a week :o)

My Hometown

I thought it would be nice to post some photos of my hometown in Oklahoma.
Chickasha's population is a little over 18,000 people. I can't wait until Thursday & Friday get here.
I'm happy and sad all at the same time. I'm happy to see Brad and to see him graduate from basic training. I'm sad because I miss Josh so much and he's so far from home. I'm hoping to get a letter this week from Josh with his address. I already have a letter ready to send him with a phone card, and I've included some photos too. I just realized that I have to start packing the house soon. Like within the next couple of weeks! I have to get boxes and stuff to wrap stuff up in. I dread packing. I still have to find and buy closets for our room also. I found some online but I forgot where I found them at. I'll have to look for those again. Not much else going on here today. Brad called last night and said his training is complete and is just waiting for graduation next Friday. He will call sometime again today he said. Josh got his first call today. He is not liking reception so much. He will start training next Friday. We should get his address next week too! He said it was hot there, but nothing like Oklahoma :o) We have a lot of humidity. He laughed when I asked him if there were any trees there. He said "mom, I'm in a forest". LOL...Not much else going on here with us. I did put some of Josh's clothes away this morning and cleaned there bathroom. Chad and I will relax and watch the race later today. I had to buy new clothes for Brad's graduation this week. I've lost a lot of weight since having my surgery and thought I could fix my white dressy capris to fit me. Nope, it didn't work like I had wanted. So I went to Target yesterday and was lucky to find the last pair of white dressy capris on the rack and in my size :o) Brad had requested to eat at Chili's when we take him off base. I'm guessing we will take him family day to do that. I can't wait to see him!!

Saturday

Nothing exciting going on here today. I have to run to Target and Wal~Mart for a few things. Cleaning and baking cookies is on my list also. We'll see how much Chad and I can get done. We went out last night to eat, it was nice. We went to Chili's :o) Right after we ate and on our way home Josh called. He was about to board the plane in Dallas and head to Ft. Jackson, SC. He called us again at 9:45pm to say he had arrived there and would be in touch as soon as he could call and write. I'm so glad he finally made it to the base and can get started on reception week. I miss my boys so much! I'm so excited that we will see Brad next week :o) I have to go to Target today to find something to wear for his graduation. I've lost so much weight that my clothes just fall off of me. I need a new pair of white capris. I'm hoping that Target will have what I'm looking for in the store. I found it online but I don't want to go that route. I was up late last night digging through my closet trying to put something together. Chad and I may go to the pool today. I need to get some sun on my pale legs and body. We had a nice time last night with Josh. Short but nice. His girlfriend Whitney came with us, she is a sweet girl. I hope this one doesn't break his heart. He wanted to go eat at Fire Mountain near the hotel. It was good, although I didn't eat much. I eat until I get full, lately it doesn't take much to get me full.

I got my comforter yesterday :o) It's beautiful!! Last night while wondering through Wally world so Josh could pick up a few items, I found a table loaded with books on sale. I can never pass up digging through books on sale. I did find one that looked like a good read called "The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters". It's written by Elisabeth Robinson. I don't recall reading any of her books. I hope it will be good. I have to finish Grace at Bender Springs, I'm well over half way done with it.

So far I've done really well with Josh leaving. I'm so proud of myself :o) I'm from a military family and have dealt with deployments and such before. It's different to see your sons putting on that uniform and going off. I wish they were still in the back yard playing ARMY, now they are playing for real.

Not much going on here today, just waiting on Josh to call from the airport, writing Brad a letter, and doing some reading.

Good Morning

So far today I haven't lost it and been boo hooing. Now tomorrow may be a totally different story. Tomorrow could be the start of my break down. I'm trying to be strong! He always came home around 4pm each day, we'll see how I do at 4. Of course I will be busy getting ready to drive to OKC to see him one last time. I'm glad we have the chance to see him one last time, but dread another goodbye :'o( Letting go is tough. I think it would be different if they were going off to college, or moving out to start their lives. In a way they are starting their lives, sadly that life includes war and a possible deployment.

Here are some photos from Monday. He will fly out Thursday morning :o( I did pretty good saying bye to him this morning, I did cry when I hugged him and told him to do his best, to pray, and that I was proud of him. Once we got back on the road I did good. We drove to Lawton to see Ft. Sill where Brad is currently. We will be there next Thursday and Friday to see him :o) I'm so glad that I have that to look forward too. After that we drove to Chad's dr appointment and are now home. As soon as we got home I started crying. Chad and I are sitting on the couch and just looked at each other and we both started crying. I keep telling myself he is living his dream. This is all he and Brad ever planned to do...Be American Soldiers!! I'm very proud of my boys!! I hope that those of you who visit my blog will bear with me over the next several days, as I will be on a roller coaster of emotions. We went to our hometown to the cookout/Josh's going away party. It was really a nice time, until it was time to leave. Watching the family saying goodbye to Josh was tough. I was in tears :o( They will flow steady the next couple of weeks until I hear from him and can write him. He's a bit nervous. Brad surprised us with a phone call a little while ago :o) It became to hot for them to be in the field, so they brought them in. I'm glad to hear that :o) Here is a photo of Josh and me from today. Any advice?

Jeremy's First Birthday

I will post more photos later. I just had to keep them moving. I do that from time to time and hate it. I came downstairs to keep from waking Chad up. I thought sleeping down here on the couch might help. It wasn't very comfy. I did sleep off and on a few short hours. Today my legs are achy and I have the heating pad on them. I'm sure tonight will be the same, that's usually how it goes. I may go to Wal~Mart later and see what they have over the counter for restless legs. I just hope it will work. I got another letter from Brad yesterday. He is getting some special training the last few weeks of training. They have an area set up to look like Baghdad and people speak arabic, they also have fake fire fights and other training stuff. I hate that he has to be trained for that. It really breaks my heart :o/ Today is Jeremy's first birthday :o) I can't believe it's been one year since that sweet boy came into our lives. He saved me from a deep dark place I didn't want to be. It was right after my dad died that we learned that Kassy was expecting him. That news brought so much happiness back to me and kept my mind busy with planning for the shower and nursery decor. I can't believe today is the last day of school for Josh. I wish he had a few more days to be with us. Tuesday will be here fast. This weekend is our busy weekend. I hate it when we have so much to do over the weekend. Well I'm going to try to rest and hopefully I'll get a nap in today. I pray that tonight I can rest much better.

Doing Better Today

At least today I'm able to stay awake. I slept all day yesterday too, I'm not sure what's up with that. Not much going on here, I'm just resting on the couch. I did walk with Chad to the mail box. We got a letter from Brad again today! He's going to be very busy and in the field training the next couple of weeks so we may not hear from him much :o( He also won't get to call next Sunday. Those letters and calls mean the world to me! I can't wait until Josh can call and get us his address. I miss him already and he hasn't left yet. I turn him over to Uncle Sam Tuesday. I've been reading my book, so far it's been good. I've been watching HGTV, and looking through old country decorating mags. My comforter will be here Friday-Monday. I'm hoping tomorrow it will get here, since we'll be gone Saturday and Monday. It's hot and humid here today. I hate the humidity! I'm hoping to get to the pool with Josh before he leaves. I still haven't gone outside in my new bathing suit *lol* I'm off to watch some tv and will read more of my book later. I had to beg her to let me go this weekend to Jeremy's party. Yesterday I didn't even open up my laptop. I slept allll day long, I don't know why I was so tired. I still feel tired today. Not much new here, I got my comforter set ordered. Chad did that for me yesterday. He also got me a new cell phone. I'm trying to figure it out. So many buttons and new features on this phone. Every Sunday he gets to call home. He sounded really good! He's lost 20 pounds :o) He has 2 weeks left of actual training, and the last week of basic will be spent cleaning and turning in everything issued, and getting ready for family day and graduation. I'm so excited!! It will be bitter sweet with Josh being gone. The boys won't see each other until August. That's if Brad isn't deployed by then. If that happens it will be a year or more before they see each other again. Today I'm feeling better. Yesterday was just a bit to much for me I think. I'm going to spend this week resting up for another busy weekend. I still have a couple of more gifts to get Jeremy for his birthday, and a card. I have to help Kassy decorate the church for his birthday party. We'll spend Sunday here relaxing just Chad and me, and then Monday on Memorial day we'll have Josh's going away party with the cook out. Josh is going to spend the weekend there and come home with us Monday. Tuesday morning we'll take him bright and early to the armory to ship out. I just dread dropping him off and leaving him. It will be a tearful ride home :'o(

On a brighter note I found my comforter set in stock at Wal~Mart.com :o) Yeah!! I'm going to get it ordered today! I started a new book last night. Grace At Bender Springs, by Vinita Hampton Wright. I hope it's a good read. I need to go to the library sometime soon and stock up on books. I love to read!
I hope you have a good Monday :o)

*****UPDATE*****
It's 3pm and I'm home from the ER. I busted a stitch and had to get it fixed. It was not fun!! I'm back to square one, bed rest and nothing else for this week. She was going to keep me from going to Jeremy's bday party but I pleaded with my dr to let me go. She said as long as I just sit. What busted it was yesterday getting in and out of the car to much. I'm off to rest.
