Loooong Time No See!!

Wow has it really been this long since I've blogged! Sorry! My life has been so hectic since moving here, Brad deploying to Iraq, and now my health issues. Due to my health I've had to stop doing pretty much everything. I don't get out much. I've opened up an online clothing boutique called "LaCresha's Boutique" the url is http://lacreshasboutique.com . Check it out! I'm adding some new plus size tops tomorrow. I think they are really cute and hope others will too.

Brad is home from Iraq! I can't tell you how glad I am to know he's home and out of danger! I can rest much better.

Still Packing

I have been cleaning closets and drawers. I really haven't packed much since we don't have much room to store boxes. Once we get our storage unit in Chickasha then we can do more packing wise. Plus I have had a set back in my recovery. I have to have 2 polyps removed yesterday and I'm in a lot of pain. They did the same thing 2 weeks ago, I will go back in to have it done again in 2 weeks. I hope this stops soon. So I'm stuck on the couch for a few days to heal. Brad is now home and is done with his military training. He's a big help to me and I'm glad he is home. We are still waiting on word of his deployment.

We have set our move date back a bit. We will move the 23rd of August.
We are hoping to have enough money to make it to Josh's basic training graduation in South Carolina. Keep us in your prayers for that, I would really appreciate it.

Sunday Afternoon

Good Afternoon. We've been kinda busy here getting ready for the move next month. We will still be living in Oklahoma when we move in with my mom, and I will be living in the same town as my friend Nancze also :o)

Josh called yesterday afternoon! He sounded so much better and is doing good. He finally got our letters and photos I sent. It's taking about a week to get mail back and forth. He will graduate 08/08/08. Brad is almost through with AIT and will graduate July 9th. He will most likely be deployed the end of August.

Not much else going on here. Just trying to get stuff done without hurting myself. I went to the doc Monday the 16th and she has me off my feet another 2 weeks. She had to re-do some stitches again. I'm hoping that was the last time! I am able to get some things done with packing though. I have Chad doing stuff in the evenings when he comes home from work. And I have him bring drawers and items downstairs for me to clean out, sort through, and pack. It's getting done, just not at the pace or how I want to do it. I can pack a house in a week :o)

My Hometown

I thought it would be nice to post some photos of my hometown in Oklahoma.
Chickasha's population is a little over 18,000 people. It's starting to grow and change with the times.

This is my hometown during the holidays. It's just beautiful. We have people come from all over the USA to see the Festival of Lights. They started doing this in the mid -late 1990's.

Looking down main street (Chickasha Ave). This is the old part of town. They are trying to redo down town. The town is growing and getting new businesses in another area of the town.

The Washita theater was my summer time hang out. I grew up in a neighborhood further up on main street. After the movies we would go to the Rexall drug store to the soda shop and get the best malts ever....Mmmm. The Rexall closed years ago and is now a book store.

This is the Chief drive in. It is open every summer and has now added miniature golf. It's been around for as long as I remember. Not too many drive ins left.

This is J&W Grill. They have the best fried onion burgers ever! They have been here since I was little.

Well there you go, my little hometown in Oklahoma. The people are really nice here. We're like any town, we have some crime and problems with drugs. But for the most part it's a good place to live.

Josh Didn't Call Yesterday

It really hurt Chad's feelings that Josh didn't call to wish him a Happy Father's Day. I told him may be phone calls were taken away because someone messed up. It didn't help him though. Kassy and Brad called yesterday. Brad even called twice.
I still have yet to receive his letter with his address. I never thought it would take so long to get a letter from him. Maybe today. Since I called and got his addy I have sent 2 letters. I hope they will cheer him up.

Nothing much going on here. I'm going to the dr today for my 6 week check up. In the next couple of weeks we will be busy packing up the house and getting ready to move in with my mom. I have to take care of her full time.

I hope you all have a great week this week!
